Ohio Sales Tax Holiday
Friday August 4th to Sunday August 6th
Looking to do some Back to School shopping? The State of Ohio will once again have a sales tax holiday for Back to School items. The holiday begins on Friday, August 4th at 12:00 a.m. and will end on Sunday, August 6th at 11:59 p.m. All individual items of clothing costing less than $75, and all items of school supplies priced at $20 or less will be eligible for the Sales Tax Holiday. In addition, school instructional materials priced $20 or less are also eligible for the tax holiday.
This sales tax holiday effectively represents a discount of 7.25% on purchases made in Mercer, Auglaize, Darke, Van Wert and Shelby counties! Shoppers need do nothing to take advantage of this sales tax holiday. The retailer should automatically apply the sales tax exemption to all eligible purchases.
