As we are kicking off this year’s tax season, we wanted to pass along a few notes of interest to our clients:
- Client Organizers and Appointment letters were mailed out to all clients in mid-December. We understand that due to issues with the mailing system, some of our clients may not have received their annual packets. If you had an appointment in the past and did not receive this year’s package, please give us a call. If your assigned appointment time does not work for you, you may also call the office and we will assist you with rescheduling.
- For our clients that come in for appointments, we are taking extra precautions to protect the health of our clients and staff. We are asking everyone to drop off their information prior to their appointment (ideally a week before) so that we can review your documents and have a preliminary return prepared prior to your appointment. We would like to limit the appointment time to reviewing the returns with you and answering any questions you may have. If you are unable to drop off your information during normal office hours, we do have an after hours drop box inside the entry door for each office.
- The official IRS kickoff of tax season this year is delayed by about two weeks. The IRS will officially begin accepting tax returns on Friday, February 12th.
We look forward to the opportunity to serve you again this year!
